Powered by an aircooled 6-cylinder Boxer, rated at 140hp, the Monza was way ahead of the 95hp Porsche 356SC and the 1965 Porsche 911 which offered a similar six with just 110 horses.

This particular Corsa was purchased used 26 years ago on November 27, 1998, for the amount of $3,400. Consequent refurbishment includes a full repaint, all new interior, new convertible top, new tires, carburetors rebuilt, as well as front end and fuel system refurbishment.

Note the original, not reproduction, 1965 Corvair Owner's Manual!

Huge front trunk is clean and tidy, with not a trace of rust anywhere.

Corvair's body is straight, with excellent gaps and shut lines.

This Corvair comes with a factory power top.

The top works like a charm and is flawless, inside and out.

Tangerine paint is a few years old. Not done to show standards, but very presentable.

Corvair's dash layout is the pinnacle of simplicity and practicality. From the steering wheel to the gauges and even the AM radio, everything is bone stock and original.

Stock steering wheel with chrome trim is also in excellent condition.

Being a "Corsa" model, this Corvair comes with the 6-gauge dash, lending it a sportiness not found in the more pedestrian models.

White, heat-embossed naugahyde seat covers look brand new.

Dash top is crack free.

Corvair seats five adults comfortably - there's lap belts for just four, though. Seats, door and side panels, carpeting - everything presents itself in fine fettle. Windows roll up and down as they should.

Birdseye view, of the actual car.

The car is currently registered, and the tags are valid 'til September of 2025.

Clean engine bay houses Corvair's air-cooled flat six power plant (as well as its spare tire, to the right.

This one sports two separate carburetors, again, like a contemporary Porsche.

Undercarriage presents itself well-preserved, free of corrosion or damage.

These Corvairs are now finally finding the appreciation they deserve.

Finaing such a car that is attractive and runs and drives as it should, while being priced to sell doesn't happen very often anymore.

Opportunity knocks; are you ready to answer?
