The car started out as a numbers matching L68 427c.i. Big Block car with factory 4 speed. Eventually it received a rebuilt 1969 race-oriented L88 spec 427ci engine, complemented by Winters Foundry aluminum L88 heads, L88 intake, L88 Holley carb, and the renowned L88 air cleaner and hood plenum paired with a close-ratio Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission with a 3.55:1 Posi-traction rear differential.
This effectively makes it a L88 car, which in numbers matching guise sell for multiple 6-figures in today's market!
As the old California "pink slip" shows, the car has been a California car from new.
It was first sold in 1967 and has resided in sunny Southern California ever since.
The car is still licensed to the old California "black-and-yellow" license plates.
Odometer shows 48,950 miles.
Original owner's manual is still in plastic.
