In 3-wheel configuration, these Cushman were called Trucksters, and they were used as mail delivery trucks, rides for meter maids, and farm utes.

This one is special, in that it received a full custom "woodie" treatment, among other upgrades. A such, it's one of one.

VIN *898487610* is registered as a 1975 model and comes with a clean California Certificate of Title.

Even though it's half a Century old, this Truckster presents itself in excellent condition, visually as well as mechanically.

All of the wood work has been custom made specifically for this "truck."

Other changes to the Truckster are the front coil over suspension, and wider wheels and tires in the back, accompanied by wider rear tires.

Front wheel carries a Carslile Sport Trail tire in 5.70 x 8 size; rear wheels are shod with a set of Kenda Super Turf tires in the size 22x10.50-12.

Doors are solid wood, with beautiful wood paneling on the outside . . .

. . . as well as the inside.

Spacous cockpit is all business with a padded bench seat above the engine, which serves double duty as a heated seat.

Functional dash shows the E-brake to the left, and the 3-speed plus reverse shifter to the right.

Beautifully preserved black steering wheel is directly connected to the steering box. No sloppy linkage here!

Above: details of the cockpit.

Padded bench seat . . .

. . . folds forward for easy access to the engine.

Speaking of the engine, it's an air-cooled 2-cylinder OMC opposed twin engine, boosting 22 horses along the road.

The engine is bone stock except for the carburetor. As carburetor floats are no longer available, the stock carburetor was switched for one from a 1981 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Beautiful, custom woodwork all around.

Wide rear wheels give it a hot-rod stance.

Yes, this Truckster has a trailer hitch!

Easy access to interior and bed.

Beautifully refurbished bed with stained wood slat inserts.

Auxilary fuel tank looks new as well.

Undercarriage is rust free without any signs of previous issues. Note the two Harley-Davidson sport mufflers.

This Truckster starts, runs and drives well. It's licensed as a "motorcycle" for street use in California.
