Chevrolet's 1969 Camaro is one of the most desirable pony cars of the Musle Car era.

Many of these cars have rusted away, others have been modified, often to a point of no return.

This particular Sixty-nine Camaro is a documented 1-owner Calfornia black license plate car that lived all its life in Northridge. It was sold on February 7, 1969 and enjoyed for 17 years. In 1986, the owner parked it in her garage, where it hibernated for another 37 years until we picked it up earlier this year.

The car comes with the original California "pink slip" (the old title), in the original mailing envelope!

Black license plate with 1986 sticker is still on the car and even the license plate frame from the selling dealer -- Warren Biggs Chevrolet in Los Angeles -- is included!

Original built sheet, taped to the top of the fuel tank!

Let's move on to the engine compartment.

The original 307-V8 runs well, and the Powerglide auto shifts smoothly.

We recommissioned the car, got it running again, installed a new battery, new spark plugs, new wires, and new tires all around. Brakes work too but the car still needs to be gone though to be road-worthy.

Originally the car had a black vinyl roof that was removed decades ago. Amazingly, there is no rust underneath either!

The car is rust and accident free and as original as they come. It was ordered with air conditioning, AM/FM sound system with 8-track player, and wider wheels. The original 307-V8 runs great and the Powerglide automatic transmission shifts well. The interior is almost too good to be original, but I assure you, it is.

The rust free undercarriage shows all factory original finishes. The car has never been undercoated, so you can see E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G!

This is a dream-come-true find for the enthusiast who either wants to keep the car "as is" or use it as a base for a restoration.

Opportunity is knocking: are you ready to answer?
